Lebanese Cedar Pen Blanks

These pen blanks are authentic Lebanese Cedar from the Mediterranean. They are extremely difficult to find, but we have them! During Biblical times, this wood was highly sought after because it was considered to be high quality, suitable for detailed carving, and resistant to insects and decay. Historically it has been very popular for woodworking, ship construction, and its aromatic scent.

The Hebrew word “erez” which means “cedar” appears more than 70 times in the Bible. Among those references, Lebanese Cedar is said to have been used in the building of many religious projects (1 Kings 5:6) as well as King David’s palace (2 Samuel 5:11).

Lebanese Cedar ranges from cream to light reddish-brown. The grain is generally straight and it has a medium to coarse texture.
