Ebiara (berlinia grandiflora) is also known as Red Zebrawood. This exotic hardwood comes mostly from West African countries such as Cameroon, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Congo, and Zaire where the trees can be found growing up to 130 feet tall and with trunk diameters up to 48 inches. Ebiara has an open grain similar to Oak but is lighter in density.
It's heartwood color ranges from red to brown with purplish-brown streaks throughout. Blanks are sized at 3/4" square x 5" long.
